Most coastlines have beaches – some are sandy, some with pebbles or shingle. The main thing they have in common is the sea. Or you have dramatic clifftops and towns that border the coast, sometimes as ports.
Beaches can be busy – just think of Benidorm in high season – great if you’re a people watcher. However, a few miles down the coast from there, we found some quiet beaches, wide stretches of pristine sand, perfect for walkers and joggers.
Is your perfect beach one with just a beach shack selling cold drinks, or one with piles of sun loungers and umbrellas? Do you want to use the beach a few steps from your hotel or find a hidden gem that no-one else knows?
Look at beach holidays for family fun – sandy beaches are perfect for sandcastles, rocky coves great for rock-pools and clambering over the rocks.
Tell me about your perfect beach – what would you like to find on it (or not find on it) and I’ll find it for you.
