Start your Western Australia holiday in Perth, easily reached from the UK and closer to the UK than Sydney. Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world and that has helped it create its unique culture. OK, its still laid-back like the rest of Australia, but it has miles of sandy beaches and facing west, spectacular sunsets. A few ideas are on the poster, but here are some more:
Get a ferry to Rottnest Island, and get close to the little marsupial, the cute quokka, found only in Western Australia. An 8 day itinerary is quite short, and can be extended. However in 8 days you could drive to the Badgingarra National Park and explore their nature trail. Drive up to Carnavon where the ocean jets up to 20m high through blowholes, and more national parks. At Ningaloo Reef, go snorkeling or gaze at the magical, underwater world from a glass-bottomed boat. This offer is valid in May and June 2018, perfect if you want to swim with the world’s biggest fish, the huge, gentle whale shark. Cruise down Yardle Creek. Visit Monkey Mia where you can interact with wild bottlenose dolphins. Shark Bay is home to whales, manta rays, turtles, sharks, a huge array of fish and a tenth of the world’s dugongs.
Who will like this holiday? Anyone who loves nature and wants to experience the unique flora and fauna that Australia has to offer
